 In 2003, we followed our passion for wine and purchased 55 acres of land in Sonoma, California. Set upon a hillside that slopes all four aspects, the property is located in the heart of the Alexander Valley. Having started a commercial real estate development company together in 1998, we relied on our development expertise and set out to shape this mountainside property into a world-class winery operation. Our journey began with many trips to France, Italy, Spain and South Africa as we sought out the best consultants in biodynamic farming and winemaking. After working several harvests in Sonoma, we finally planted our favorite varietal, Grenache, along with Syrah, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon. We follow biodynamic farming practices and believe in minimal intervention in the winemaking process. All ferments are natural with no fining or filtration. Sixteen years later our first release was ready. We now produce six wines, including two blends, one of which contains all four grapes planted. We both grew up in Northeastern Ohio and reside in Richfield, Ohio with our children, Catherine, Philip, Luca and Roco. It is our dream to bring Sonoma to Ohio, and we plan on doing so with the opening of a 4000sf food & wine social club in Brecksville, Ohio in the fall of 2021.
